主席 / Chairman

覃夕权先生是一位长期参与海外民主运动的资深民主人士，曾任中国民主党全国联合总部澳纽党部负责人。此后因在组织发展理念和工作方向上存在意见分歧，他在澳大利亚依法注册成立中国民主进步联盟，现任中国民主进步联盟主席。

Mr. Xiquan Qin is a veteran democracy advocate with longstanding involvement in the overseas Chinese democracy movement. He previously served as head of the Australia–New Zealand branch of the National Joint Headquarters of the Democracy Party of China. Following differences over organisational development and direction, he lawfully registered the China Democracy Progressive Alliance in Australia and now serves as its Chairman.

据覃夕权先生本人陈述，由于他在澳大利亚持续参与民主运动，他被中共当局列为通缉人员，其在中国的家人也曾遭到骚扰，甚至年幼的孩子亦受到影响。经过长期奔走和多方努力，他最终将家人和孩子接到澳大利亚，实现一家团聚。

According to Mr. Qin, his continued participation in the democracy movement in Australia led Chinese Communist Party authorities to place him on a wanted list. He states that members of his family in China were subjected to harassment and that even his young child was affected. After prolonged efforts and assistance from various parties, he was eventually able to bring his family and child to Australia and reunite with them.

多年来，覃夕权先生持续推动中国民主、自由与人权事业，曾帮助法轮功学员，并参与关注、声援和营救在中国遭受打压或关押的民主人士。他通过长期的公共倡议与实际行动，为中国民主事业作出了重要贡献。

Over many years, Mr. Qin has continued to advance democracy, freedom and human rights for China. He has assisted Falun Gong practitioners and supported efforts to raise awareness of, advocate for and secure the release of democracy activists subjected to repression or detention in China. Through sustained public advocacy and practical action, he has made an important contribution to the cause of Chinese democracy.
